What a hair clinic treatment is
In Korean salons, a hair clinic (헤어 클리닉) is a conditioning and care service for the hair length. Products are applied to hair that has been washed, left to work, and rinsed, often with heat or a finishing step. It aims to make hair feel smoother, softer and more manageable. The result is temporary, and it lasts longer when you look after your hair at home.
A clinic does not replace a haircut. If ends are split or badly broken, the honest fix may be trimming them. Ask your designer.
How to choose between the options
Our menu names three families but does not publish what differs inside each, so ask the designer to explain the contents when they check your hair. A practical way to think:
- Basic clinic (₩80,000): a sensible starting point for dry or dull hair that is in fair condition.
- Premium clinic (₩100,000): the next step up on our menu, for hair that needs more care.
- Shiseido clinic (₩80,000 – ₩150,000): a branded course series. Four courses are listed, and you choose by what your hair needs.

When it is worth adding
- After bleach or strong color: lightened hair is often drier. See bleach and double bleach.
- With a perm: some guests add a clinic to keep hair soft after the chemicals. Ask the designer about the order.
- After travel: sun, salt water and chlorine can leave hair rough.
- Before an event or photo: smoother hair photographs well. Allow a few days if you also plan color.
Tell the designer
Share the dates of any bleach, color, perm or straightening. Say what bothers you: frizz, dry ends, tangles, dullness or breakage. Mention a sensitive scalp or a fragrance allergy. Bring the product names you use at home if you have them, so the designer can avoid duplicating or conflicting with them.
Aftercare
Ask how long to wait before the next wash. Use a gentle shampoo, apply a conditioner mid-length to ends, and protect from heat. A clinic treatment is not permanent, and washing, brushing and styling wear it down. Regular trims and gentle drying extend the smooth feel.
Heat and chlorine shorten it. If you swim often, rinse hair before and after.
