Digital perm price at WENEED
The menu has one digital design heat perm line. The “+” means the price rises with hair length, thickness and the designer you choose. The setting perm is shown beside it because it is also heat-set and starts at the same figure.
| Service | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Digital design heat perm | ₩180,000+ | Heat perm (디자인 열펌); rises with length, condition and designer |
| Setting perm | ₩180,000 – ₩200,000+ | Heat-set, defined curl; see the Korean perm page |
Prices are taken from our salon menu (October 2026). A “+” means the price rises with hair length, condition or add-ons, and a range means each designer sets their own price. Your designer confirms the final price before work starts.
What a digital perm is
“Digital perm” is a name used in Korea and abroad for a heat perm. The hair is wrapped on rods, the rods are warmed, and the curl is set by a mix of chemical solution and controlled heat. The word “digital” comes from the temperature control on the machine. Salons use the term loosely, so what matters is the curl you want, not the label.
On our menu the service appears as 디자인 열펌, a “design heat perm”. Your designer chooses the rod size and the wave pattern to suit your cut. Bring a photo and ask the designer to explain what they will do on your hair.
How the curl looks and behaves
A heat-set curl usually looks most defined when the hair is dry and styled. Many people find it springy and a little glossy. When the hair is wet, the curl often looks looser and longer. This is the opposite of a classic cold perm, where the curl tends to look strongest when wet.
Because of this, a digital perm suits people who dry their hair with a dryer and a bit of cream or oil. If you usually let hair air-dry and want no styling at all, ask your designer whether a cold-style perm would suit you better.
Digital perm or cold perm
The table gives the usual differences between the two methods. On our menu, men’s cold perms are listed on the men’s perm page. The designer decides the method after touching and testing your hair.
| Heat (digital) perm | Cold perm | |
|---|---|---|
| Curl looks strongest | Dry and blow-styled | Wet or air-dried |
| Curl feel | Defined, bouncy, often glossy | Softer, more natural, often fluffier |
| Heat used | Yes, during the perm | No |
| Styling needed | A little: dryer and a styling product | Often less |
These are the usual differences. Salons and designers vary, so ask which method they plan to use.

Is your hair ready for heat
Heat plus chemicals is hard on hair, so the designer will ask about your history. Tell them about:
- Bleach, color or earlier perms, with dates.
- Straightening or magic straight treatments. Heat on top of these can overload hair.
- Breakage, split ends or a stretchy, gummy feel when the hair is wet.
Very light or very damaged hair may not be a good candidate. Your designer may suggest a gentler perm or a repair step first, such as a hair clinic treatment.
Aftercare for a heat-set curl
General advice, which your designer can adjust for your hair:
- Ask how long to wait before the first wash. Many salons suggest a day or more, but the rule varies.
- Comb gently with a wide-tooth comb and avoid brushing dry curls.
- Scrunch the hair with a curl cream and dry it with a diffuser or a low setting.
- Keep flat irons away from the curl.
A heat perm often lasts several months and softens as the hair grows. Treat that as a general guide, not a promise.
Compare with other WENEED perms
If you want a similar finish without needing rods and heat settings explained, the Korean perm page lists the signature, layered and sleek perms. A hippie perm gives a tighter, thicker curl. For flat roots only, see the root volume perm. The full price list shows every menu price.
