Blowout price

The menu lists a blow-dry (드라이) as one line with a range. Each designer has their own price sheet, which is why the price differs.

Prices are taken from our salon menu (October 2026). A “+” means the price rises with hair length, condition or add-ons, and a range means each designer sets their own price. Your designer confirms the final price before work starts.

What a blowout is

A blowout is a professional blow-dry that shapes your hair while it dries. The stylist uses a hair dryer and usually a round or paddle brush to set a finish: smooth and straight, lifted at the roots, or curved at the ends. It does not change the cut or the color. It simply styles the hair you have for that day.

On our menu the item is called 드라이, which is Korean for a blow-dry. Whether a shampoo or a curling or straightening iron is included is not stated on the menu, so ask the designer what the price covers.

Finishes to choose from

  • Smooth and sleek: straight, shiny hair with little frizz. This suits thick or wavy hair that you want to lie flat.
  • Root volume: hair lifted at the crown, useful if your hair falls flat. The root volume perm is the longer-lasting alternative.
  • Inward C-curl ends (C컬): ends that bend toward the jaw or shoulders. This is a common look in Korea, especially on bobs and shoulder-length hair.
  • Soft bounce or waves: loose movement from mid-length to the ends. Tools and technique decide how long it holds, so ask the designer.

When a blowout makes sense

A blowout is useful when you want to look polished for one day. Common reasons are a wedding or party, a photo session, a business meeting or a trip with an evening event. We are open every day until 20:00, so it can fit before an evening plan; ask the designer how long to allow for your hair length.

It is also useful after a new cut. Many guests ask the designer to show them how to dry and brush so they can repeat the shape at home.

How to prepare

  • Ask the designer whether to arrive with hair washed, damp or unwashed. Practices differ between salons.
  • Bring a photo of the finish you want, preferably on hair of your length and texture.
  • Remove any hair ties that leave dents, and avoid heavy oils on the day.
  • Say if you plan to wear a hat, helmet or mask later. It affects how much volume is worth setting.

How long it lasts

A blowout usually lasts until your next wash. Humidity, sweat, wind and sleeping on it shorten that. Busan is a coastal city, and warm, damp summer weather can pull out curl and smoothness faster than dry weather. A loose hairstyle or a silk or satin pillowcase helps. The designer can say what to expect for your hair and the finish you pick, since no one can promise a fixed number of days.

Blowout or something longer-lasting?

A blowout is temporary by design. If you want the smooth or curled look to last for weeks, compare it with a perm. The magic straight perm smooths, and the C-curl perm gives ends a lasting curve. For a more formal style, see updo styling. If your ends look dry, a hair clinic treatment can come first, and the women’s haircut page covers cut prices.
