The root service is a single menu line. Each of our seven designers sets their own price within the range.

What a root touch-up covers
When hair grows, a band of your natural color appears at the roots. A touch-up colors only that band so it matches the rest of your hair. It is not a full-head color, so it costs less than a full-head service and takes less time.
It suits you when the length of your hair is still in good color. If the ends have faded, the designer may suggest refreshing them too, which turns it into a larger service.
How to know it is time
- The line between your color and the new growth is clearly visible at the part.
- Gray hairs are showing at the hairline.
- Your color is lightened and the dark roots are noticeable in photos.
How soon that happens depends on how fast your hair grows and how different the color is from your natural shade. A light shade over dark hair shows a line sooner than a brown close to your natural color. Timing is personal, so the designer can suggest a rhythm after seeing your hair.
Roots on a lightened shade
If your hair is bleached or blonde, root work is a bigger job. The new growth has to be lightened and toned to match the rest, and the designer must avoid overlapping bleach onto hair that is already lightened. Overlap can weaken and break strands. For that reason the work may be quoted differently from the menu root price, and you should say so when you ask. See bleach for how lightening works.

What to bring and say
- The date of your last color and which shade it was, if you know it.
- A photo from the day you left the last salon.
- Whether you want the color matched exactly or slightly changed.
- Any scalp irritation from past dye.
If your color was done at another salon or with box dye, tell the designer. Matching an unknown formula is harder, and a slight difference between the roots and the ends can appear.
Roots versus a full color
Choose a root service if only the regrowth is the problem. Choose a full color if the ends look faded, uneven or too warm, or if you want a new shade. The salon is on the 3rd floor of Jeongsan Building, 71 Bujeon-ro, Busanjin-gu. From Seomyeon Station Exit 7 it is 412 m, about 5 minutes on foot toward Lotte Hotel Busan. We are open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
Tips to make the color last longer between visits
Small habits stretch the time between touch-ups. Part your hair in a different place to hide the line for a few more days. Use a shampoo made for colored hair and wash with lukewarm water. Avoid very hot tools on the root area, since heat can lift color. If you swim often, chlorine and sun can change dyed hair, so cover it or rinse soon afterwards.
If the roots grow out fast or gray comes in quickly, tell the designer. They may adjust the shade, or suggest a different approach such as blending highlights, which grow out more softly.
