How Much is a Hair Salon in Korea?
A hair salon visit in Korea can run from a small trim price to well over ₩100,000 for a perm or color. The final price depends on the service, hair length, the designer and your hair’s condition.

What decides the price in a Korean salon
There is no single national price, and this page does not claim one. These factors set the price at most salons:
- Service type. Cuts cost less than perms, bleach or long treatment courses.
- Hair length and thickness. Longer or thicker hair uses more product and time, so many menus add a charge.
- Designer level. Some salons price by the designer’s rank. Others, like WENEED, give each designer their own price sheet.
- Hair condition. Damaged or previously colored hair may need extra steps.
- Location and salon type. A salon in a busy shopping district may price differently from one in a quiet residential street.
How to read a Korean salon menu
A plus sign after a price usually means the price rises with length, condition or add-ons. A range means designers set different prices. A menu may mark a price as an event price, a limited-time or promotional rate. Always ask what the total will be before work begins.

Costs that surprise visitors
- Two services, two prices. A color followed by a treatment is usually priced as two items.
- Preparation steps. Hair that needs lightening before a pastel or fashion shade costs more than color on its own. A tone-correction service such as WENEED’s red-tone removal color starts at ₩90,000+.
- Length. The posted price may be for a base length.
Bleach and some other services are not on WENEED’s printed menu. For those, the designer quotes after checking your hair.
Price by service group, in general terms
Without quoting a national figure, the order is fairly consistent across Korean salons. Bangs trims and cuts sit at the low end. Blow-drying and styling come next. Color usually costs more than a cut. Perms often cost more than color. Long treatment courses and multi-step services such as lightening followed by toning can add up to the highest bills.
On WENEED’s menu the same order appears: a men’s cut is ₩33,000, full-head color is ₩110,000 – ₩117,000 and a setting perm is ₩180,000 – ₩200,000+. These numbers show the pattern at one salon.
Ways to keep the total in check
- Choose one main service rather than a long list.
- Ask whether a cut is included when you book a perm or color. Some menus bundle them and others do not.
- Tell the designer your budget before the plan is made. A good designer can choose a simpler approach.
- Ask whether your hair length changes the price.
- Check for event prices, which are limited-time rates, such as WENEED’s slow-aging head spa cut at ₩50,000.
How to avoid a surprise at the desk
Ask three questions before the service starts: what is the price for my length, does it include everything we discussed, and will anything be added? Our cost explainer, the haircut prices and the Korean perm prices show WENEED’s numbers in detail.
